Mary was born in Hartford, Connecticut and moved to Chapel Hill when she was 6 years old. She’s always said it was the best decision her parents ever made! She feels so fortunate to have grown up in Chapel Hill; the beauty of the town, the campus and the surrounding countryside are breath taking. Mary graduated with a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Meredith College in Raleigh. After graduation she worked in the Accounting field for six years. But then she decided she wanted a little more social interaction in her job and moved into the restaurant industry. She worked at many local restaurants; working her way up from hosting to bartending, and then managing. The jobs were challenging but taught her customer service skills she never knew she had. A far cry from solitary accounting work, Mary loved being able to talk to people about their lives with some of the regulars becoming her friends.
Mary has now been a part of the Weaver Street Realty family for over 5 years. She is continuing to learn and grow in this field and loves the new challenges that the Real Estate industry brings to her job.
Mary purchased her first home in Hillsborough. She and loves the small town atmosphere and the quiet streets, while still being 20 minutes from Carrboro/Chapel Hill and 15 minutes from Durham. On the weekends you can catch Mary and her husband hiking the many trails in Hillsborough, or making new friends being bar flies at one of the local restaurants.
